Let me introduce myself

To let y’all readers know my name and the owner of this platform, I’ll share my name with y’all. My birth name is Jelcie Monteiro, a unique name you probably haven’t heard before. Thanks to my mother for that. I was born in 1991, on October 2, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Gratefully, I can say that I am living and working with my purpose, and that is writing.

A young man who has liked writing since childhood. In school, from the second grade, we learned to start writing with the technique of covering texts. This was a class I enjoyed. Now, daily I write down my thoughts, keep track of my journey, and more.

Writing down whatever comes to mind gives a person freedom.

The reason that I started my own platform

On social media platforms like Snapchat, Facebook, WhatsApp, and in the past MSN Messenger, I regularly posted texts written by myself. Sometimes people complimented me, or I received positive reactions about them. I myself certainly liked my writings, finding them insightful and powerful.

After a while, I found it unfortunate to share my creativity and passion through other people's platforms. So I told myself: create your own platform. Here I can post my writings, and how my work spreads around the world won't bother me, because I have the confirmation that it is rooted here, on my platform. That is something I am very proud of!
